You will enter the property through an imposing mahogany door into a mezzanine level which adjoins the living room with stunning views out to sea. Sweep down the curvaceous staircase into the living room & relax into one of the sumptuous sofas. There is a vast selection of channels on the 54” satellite TV, a good selection of DVDs can be watched on the DVD & the music system is right there too if you prefer some music to listen to, either using your own ipod/iphone or something from our collection. The wonderful main deck is right outside where you can enjoy the fabulous vista, take a dip in the pool or simply enjoy Alfresco living with lunch around the table. There is an umbrella for you to take in the breezes & enjoy the shade.
The mezzanine leads you to the Kitchen with its well-appointed high end units with granite counter-tops & stainless steel appliances. Even the kitchen sink is a great place to look out at the amazing sea view. Should you need any provisions for your arrival, just let us know & this can easily be arranged. The Dining Room beacons you from the kitchen with its majestic views of the islands. The glass & stone table is bespoke in this open air pavilion & gives a nice airy feeling to your dining experience. The dining area is also a great place at night which provides an elegant setting for dinner, whether you are cooking yourself or if you decide to bring a chef in.
From the Dining Room you have easy access down a curving opening arms staircase to the splendorous main deck, planters are filled with local palms, bird of paradise, heliconia, gingers & bougainvillea. Once at the pool, take a dip, enjoy the views & relax in the sun on the comfortable sun beds, there is an outdoor shower on the deck. In the evening enjoy this area with a cocktail, watch the sun go down, marvel at the fabulous pool colour sequences (programme your personal colour favourites). You might want to rev it up a bit, put on some music & have some friends over you have met during your stay.
All rooms have large sliding doors which disappear into the walls to open up the house, this offers open plan living & complete flexibility to move around Alfresco with ease. Plenty of books are available, if you don’t finish one take it home, please leave one in its place so the next guest has some reading pleasure too. Board games are provided for an evening in.
The bedroom pavilion offers an upper level Master Suite. This has beautiful views of the islands & beyond from the balcony & spacious outdoor private deck. The bathroom is finished with a gorgeous stone Travertine & natural pebbles, the oversized shower offers you an invigorating experience. You can marvel at the wonderful wood ceiling as you look up from your king size bed handcrafted in reclaimed teak from Bali. You will be sleeping under Egyptian cotton percale which will give you a luxurious night’s sleep. If you stay in October, there is a wonderful Jacaranda tree full of cotton like flowers which cascades over the outdoor private terrace leading out from the bathroom. There is also an extra single bed which can be used, should you wish to have one of the children in with you.
The second bedroom can be found at deck level & offers comfy easy access. You can choose either twins or a king size bed for this room depending on your needs. Same Egyptian cotton for that perfect night’s sleep. Again this bathroom is finished in lovely stone Travertine & natural pebbles with beautifully bespoke mill work in the bathroom. The private wrap around deck can be used as another area to relax & enjoy your stay. We have an extra single bed if this works better for a family stay or perhaps a 7th guest.
The third bedroom is very private & leads down from the main deck via steps to an outdoor space overlooking trees & landscape. You can enjoy the sea views & ocean sounds at night if you wish to. This bedroom has a low 4 poster Queen Bed with local art work to give a contemporary feel to this space. Again luxury Egyptian cotton is featured throughout the property. The bathroom is finished with stone Travertine and natural pebbles in your lovely spacious walk in shower. At Alfresco you can enjoy the privacy of this bedroom. Ideal for 2 couples staying, so you have some privacy.
This property is easily accessible to Long Bay Beach if you want to drive or walk, up to you. Smugglers Cove is around the corner (need to drive) unless you are fit! There are local restaurants within driving distance of the property, on Long Bay Beach Tropical Fusion is the nearest restaurant, Sebastian’s is just over the hill, you have The Sugar Mill restaurant just on from that & other local eateries, D’Coalpot restaurant is in Carrot Bay which is a fabulous place to eat locally. Soper’s Hole Marina is just 6 minutes ride away, and there’s a local restaurant there where you can watch the sailors coming in after a day at sea. You can also look around the marina & see all the larger yacht’s moored up or just stopping by for some supplies. A nice place to relax.

Policies
TERMS & CONDITIONS Payment sent in response to this Rental Agreement constitutes your acceptance and agreement to our terms and conditions, limitations and restrictions as indicated below. If there are significant delays or changes in your planned arrival or departure times, please let us know as soon as possible so your villa escort and car rental company are informed of the delay and can adjust accordingly. Early check-in or late check-out times may be accommodated, but must be agreed in advance. PAYMENT, DAMAGE DEPOSIT & CANCELLATION POLICIES AND SCHEDULES: To secure the booking at Alfresco a partial payment of 50% of the rental cost is due within 10 days of guest confirmation of intention to book. The Balance [plus a refundable damage deposit of $300.00], must be fully settled 45 days prior to arrival, or if that date is already passed, then full payment is due within 10 days of booking. A cancellation request made up to 45 days of your arrival date will result in an 80% refund of your rental costs. For cancellations within 45 days of your arrival 100% of the rental is forfeited. Should you have to cancel your reservation for any reason, we will make every effort to rebook the villa to another guest and 80% of your rental fee will be returned to you for the nights re-booked. At the owner's discretion you may allowed to rebook the villa at a later date without penalty to you. All changes must be submitted in writing. No-shows, late arrivals, a reduction in number of guests within 45 days of your arrival, and early departures are non-refundable. Refunds may not be granted unless there is a serious issue which cannot be resolved within 24 hours. Damage deposits are fully refundable within 10 days of guests’ departure, providing there is no damage, breakage, missing items, no additional cleaning for the villa left abnormally dirty. All damage and breakages must be reported to agent by end of rental and costs for damage, breakage missing items, additional cleaning will be deducted from the damage deposit. All normal utilities are included in your rental price. Alfresco is fully furnished and include supplies of bed linens and towels for guests’ use. Rearranging the furniture or removing any items from the villa is strictly prohibited.

Neither the Owner or Manager shall be held responsible in any way for accidental injury, death or damage/loss to personal effects of the Guest. If, due to circumstances beyond the Owner's control, such as flood, fire, hurricane or other damage, the Owner is unable to honour this agreement the Damage Deposit and advanced payments shall be fully refunded provided said damage was not the fault of the Guest. The Guest is responsible for all damages while staying at the property. The guests are responsible for the villa during occupancy and must lock windows and doors securely at all times when not on the premises, and should exercise due care in securing all personal property. The villa owner reserves the right to refuse service or rentals to anyone at their discretion. HURRICANE SEASON In the unlikely event of a hurricane, the island villa manager will contact you directly and advise. We do not allow any guest to remain at the villa during a hurricane and all villas must be shuttered and utilities turned off. We recommend trip cancellation insurance for unforeseen events of force majeure. MAINTENANCE Alfresco will be cleaned thoroughly prior to your arrival. Alfresco includes a midweek maid service per week in their rates. If you would like extra cleaning, then this may be arranged at additional cost. Housekeeper will do guests laundry on midweek clean if requested at no additional cost. CLEANING SERVICE In the event of a maintenance problem, the guests must notify the villa manager who will strive to repair the problem as soon as possible. No refund or rate adjustment shall be made for unforeseen mechanical failures such as the supply of electricity, water, pool filtration systems, air conditioning, television or cable service, appliances etc. It is the guests’ obligation to report any problems or damage to their villa immediately. KEYS Guests are responsible for all keys. There is a $20 charge for each set of lost or damaged keys. QUIET ENJOYMENT BVI Alfresco wishes to maintain an atmosphere of quiet enjoyment for all of our guests. We rent to family groups and responsible adults only. Absolutely no house parties or functions such as weddings are allowed without advance written permission the owners of Alfresco. Guests shall not create noise or disturbances likely to disturb the surrounding property owners after 10pm. SMOKING, DRUGS & HAZARDOUS MATERIALS We operate a non-smoking policy for our villa. Smoking is not permitted inside the villa. Smoking is allowed outside only, provided that it is away from wooden or flammable items or areas (furniture, furnishings, decking etc) and that all smoking debris is carefully disposed of leaving the area clean. Please ensure that receptacles are used for cigarette/cigar butts as during dry periods these may cause fires. Guests shall not use or permit to be brought in to any villa any illegal substances, inflammable fluids or other explosives, fireworks or articles deemed hazardous to life, limb or property. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Guests traveling with small children should be aware that Alfresco has a requirement for a signed, notarised liability waiver for children under the age of 8. It is the guest’s responsibility to return the signed waiver prior to arrival at the villa. Please ask in advance regarding equipment, cribs and high chairs. PROVISIONS AND PRIVATE CHEF We can send you a link to provision your villa prior to your arrival with the food and beverages of your choice. Payment for these items will be made direct to the online company providing the service. It is possible to arrange the service of a private chef during your stay. Whether you require one special dinner, or three meals a day for the duration of your stay. Please give us as much advance notice as possible for this service. Payment will be made directly to the chef.

BVI Vacation Villas has evolved from years of travelling around the British Virgin Islands & in particular Tortola & Virgin Gorda. The BVI, feels like HOME!
When I first visited Tortola in 1992, my husband & I thought this would be another fabulous holiday in a beach location. We instantly fell in love with these delightful picturesque islands & have been visiting for over 30 years now. Not quite retired yet, means we cannot spend our time in this wonderful location as much as we would like to. But, we try to walk barefoot, as often as we can!
So, marketing Villas on Tortola initially just came about through meeting Friends & Villa Owners on island. I helped a friend sell their Villa & rented it in the meantime. This opened up the world of Renting & Marketing Villas & the pleasure of seeing other guests enjoy Tortola for the very first time. We started with just renting a couple of villas in Long Bay on Tortola and as we became known by guests we started renting on the rest of Tortola. We now have over 60 villas on Virgin Gorda and throughout The BVI.
The BVI has a year round climate, & in fact I particularly love August through to October here. The weather is fabulous & it’s a great getaway from the ‘fast pace’ of life! It starts with carnival in August and slowly winds down until the whole place picks up again in November Just perfect for a slow paced, relaxing time on some of the best islands in the world.
