Set within spacious, gently sloping grounds with lovely views of hills & ocean. La Villa, designed by renowned BVI architect Alan Smith, is a great place to unwind. A perfect setting for couples or small family getaway. La Villa is located on the picturesque North shore of Tortola in the British Virgin Islands.
La Villa is just a short walk to two of the island’s most beautiful beaches, Long Bay with its mile long white sand & Smugglers Cove an exquisite beach perfect for sunning & swimming! Guests have the whole property to themselves & it is very private.
The charming garden of mature fruit trees & bright flowering plants reflect harmony with nature. You may be lucky enough to sight a green iguana in the garden or the Blue Heron which visits the pool at dusk!
A delightful feature at the front of the house is the pool, fringed by Christmas Palms. Ideal for a refreshing dip or cooling on the pool ledge with a glass at dusk, as you watch the sun set over the hills to the trilling of tree frogs.
The two air-conditioned ground floor bedrooms provide comfortable Queen & King sized four poster beds with a single bed in the middle room for an additional guest. The main bathroom on the ground floor has double sinks & shower. The mezzanine floor bathroom has a stone clad outdoor shower, adding to the ambience of being in nature.
The spacious & elegant living room upstairs has generous seating with beautiful hand-made hardwood furniture. Dining table & chairs for 8, along with a well-equipped kitchen. There is ample cooling from the six ceiling & floor fans to enhance the cross-flow of the ocean breeze. The large verandas on both floors add to the sense of space & feature great views of the lush green hillsides. The sky over the lush Palm Grove and the blue ocean, the islands of Jost Van Dyke, Sandy Spit shimmer in the distance.
La Villa is walking distance to restaurants, including the Long Bay Beach Resort & Tropical Fusion. More North shore restaurants are just a short drive away in Apple & Carrot Bays. Enjoy a sundowner & local band in Cane Garden Bay, or explore the rest of the BVI by taking a ferry or day sailboat to the BVI’s many beautiful outer islands. At La Villa, the BVI is at your doorstep.

BVI Vacation Villas has evolved from years of travelling around the British Virgin Islands & in particular Tortola & Virgin Gorda. The BVI, feels like HOME!
When I first visited Tortola in 1992, my husband & I thought this would be another fabulous holiday in a beach location. We instantly fell in love with these delightful picturesque islands & have been visiting for over 30 years now. Not quite retired yet, means we cannot spend our time in this wonderful location as much as we would like to. But, we try to walk barefoot, as often as we can!
So, marketing Villas on Tortola initially just came about through meeting Friends & Villa Owners on island. I helped a friend sell their Villa & rented it in the meantime. This opened up the world of Renting & Marketing Villas & the pleasure of seeing other guests enjoy Tortola for the very first time. We started with just renting a couple of villas in Long Bay on Tortola and as we became known by guests we started renting on the rest of Tortola. We now have over 60 villas on Virgin Gorda and throughout The BVI.
The BVI has a year round climate, & in fact I particularly love August through to October here. The weather is fabulous & it’s a great getaway from the ‘fast pace’ of life! It starts with carnival in August and slowly winds down until the whole place picks up again in November Just perfect for a slow paced, relaxing time on some of the best islands in the world.
I strive to help guests tailor their trip, be it, a family trip or a party of friends enjoying time together. I'll help you explore what you're looking for & match the best villa option to meet your needs. I can help with Flight Routing, Car Rentals, Boat Rentals, Grocery Deliveries & trips to other islands in the BVI. I really enjoy the planning stage with potential guests, so I can make sure the trip is tailored to suit your every need, make it a special one.
