Long-range mountain views are included with this comfortable renovated 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bathroom mountain view cabin in the treetops! Only 15 minutes to downtown Blue Ridge or the Toccoa River, 20 minutes to downtown Ellijay and about 55 minutes to Helen. Recent renovation including new granite counters in the kitchen & bathrooms, new stainless kitchen appliances in 2025, a new top-grain leather sofa & loveseat for the family room, and a new king size bed in the master bedroom! We bought this cabin in 2005 and it continues to be a special place for our family. We want you to experience the enchantment and adventure that the cabin and the area offer!
From the covered back porch, you will feel like you're in a treehouse! Enjoy the relaxing hot tub, a 3-person swing, rocking chairs and beautiful mountain views! The large family room has a gas-log fireplace, a 50 inch smart cable TV with over 100 channels, ceiling fan, leather sofa & loveseat and a comfy recliner. Horseback riding facilities, waterfalls, hiking trails, zip-lining, tubing and the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway (open-air train rides) are all nearby! The Benton Mackaye trail runs right through the mountain that the cabin sits on! There are also several lakes within hiking distance and wildlife abounds!
The cabin has central heat and air conditioning for your comfort. The master bedroom has a comfortable king size pillow top mattress and the guest bedroom has a comfy queen size pillow top mattress. Both bedrooms are on the main level! The master bedroom has a private full bathroom with a shower/tub combo and another flat screen cable TV. The guest bedroom has a private shower and sink, and the hallway half-bath with a toilet and sink is located just outside of the guest bedroom. In the basement, there is another comfortable queen bed and two twin/single beds! In the unfinished (but clean) section of the basement there is a Ping-pong table, a Foosball table and a private half-bathroom recently added! There are ceiling fans in all bedrooms and the cabin interior has beautiful pine floors, walls and ceilings, no drywall. A paved driveway and parking pad with room for up to 4 cars, and no-steps easy entry into the cabin!
Come and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature at "The Bear's Lair" cabin in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains! Don't forget your firewood for the firepit or it can be bought locally. Exterior security cameras are in use (out front only). Carbon monoxide and smoke detectors on each floor for your safety. The roads on the mountain have both paved and gravel sections. At times the gravel sections can be a little bumpy, but a 4wd is not needed (most of our guests have cars or minivans.) About 90 minutes north of Atlanta. No pets allowed. Please note that the posted rates are good for up to 4 people. There are extra fees for more than 4 guests. You must enter the correct number of guests to get accurate pricing. Thank you!

Rate Notes
Rates are good for up to 4 people. The extra guest fee is 25.00 per guest per night. Holiday rates add 15.00 per night. We collect half of the grand total at time of booking, and the balance is due 2 weeks prior to arrival. We accept Venmo or a personal check. Checks must be received 30 days prior to the arrival date.
Cacellations prior to 60 days out get a full refund. Cancellations atleast 30 days out get a 50% refund. Cancellations atleast 14 days out get a 25% refund. Cancellations within 14 days = No refund.

Posted rates are good for up to 4 people. There are additional fees for more than 4. No pets allowed. No parties. No rearranging furniture.
No loose trash is allowed in the outdoor garbage can. ONLY bagged trash in large kitchen bags. They retrieve by hand. NO water bottles, paper cups etc
If furniture is moved around or loose trash is put in the outdoor garbage can, we have to drive up to take care of it at a charge of $150.00 from deposit.
All guests including family, invitees and visitors will hold The Bear's Lair cabin and Edward Garcia totally and completely harmless against any and all claims, damages, suits or causes of action for damages from injury to person(s) or property, or loss of property or life sustained in or about the cabin, the premises or improvemements. All guests and visitors further agree that The Bear's Lair cabin and Edward Garcia will not be held liable for any damages to any goods, ware or property regardless of how such damages or injuries may be caused, whether resulting from acts of negligence, by actions of adjacent properties, or from action of the elements or by acts of God.
