Welcome! First things first: our guests agree that the view from my condominium's lanai is truly exceptional. It's the reason I bought this place on Maui's Kaanapali (Ka'anapali) Beach over 20 years ago and never looked back. We're perched high on top of The Whaler Condominiums—on the 10th floor of 12—far above the bustle of the beach. From the lanai ( porch), take in the sparkling sea and vast beckoning beach in front of you, the lush green mountain range and golf course to your left, and the island of Lanai. This Ka'anapali Beach Vacation Rental opens views rarely seen elsewhere! Guests tell me they spend hours on the lanai relaxing in our chairs just watching the changing light, from sunrise to sunset. Visualize yourself basking in the warmth of the sun and taking in some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. Look up and see the mountains bathed in orange and the island of Lanai draped in low-hanging clouds. Look down and see a tremendous splash breaking the glassy surface of the sea: a majestic humpback whale, breaching close to shore. Later that evening, take advantage of an ideal romantic setting and share an Hawaiian pupu (an appetizer plate of local goodies like tempura vegetables and skewers of chicken and fish) on your lanai, and watch the lights of the old Lahaina whaling port glimmer in the distance as the sun sinks into the Pacific. This is paradise--and one example of what awaits you at Whaler 1063.
Our studio condo with a king-sized bed is intimate, comfortable, and has everything you need close at hand, including kitchen supplies and a collection of beach goodies like lounge chairs, a beach umbrella, and a picnic cooler. We also provide a HD television, DVR, a Bose CD Player with a small collection of CD's, very fast wireless Internet, an étagère with Hawaiian artifacts and a small library of books. The kitchen and bathroom are up-to-date.
The Whaler, where our Hawaiian home is located, is nestled between the west Maui mountains and the ocean and provides many resort-style amenities for an active couple, including: Direct access to the beach (walk out the door and you're there!) Heated pool and Jacuzzi ,Tennis courts, Sauna, Indoor exercise facility, New ocean-side barbecues with granite picnic tables for beachfront dining, Concierge, Spa services, The Beach Kale where you can pick up Whaler provided beach towels, rent a cabana for the day, or purchase sunglasses and suntan lotion you may have forgotten to bring. And, for adventurers ready to explore, there are dozens of options nearby, including some of the best snorkeling and scuba diving on Maui, hiking, helicopter tours, golf courses, ferry, bicycle trips down Haleakala, horseback riding in the upcountry, a winery, luaus, the Ulalena evening theater show, and moonlight dinner cruises leaving from Kaanapali (Ka'anapali) Beach. You won't want to leave.
Many of my guests are repeat guests—some of them came here first for their honeymoon and now return year after year for their anniversaries. Short stays (2 or more nights) are acceptable if those short stays 'bump up against' longer stays. For example, if a longer stay ends on Tuesday and the next longer stay starts on Thursday then the two days between could be rented.

Payment Policy
A two night deposit is due within one week of booking with the balance due five weeks before arrival on property. I accept personal checks.
Refundable Damage Deposit
I do not require a damage deposit and expect my guests to treat my condominium as they would treat their own homes. This policy works and I expect to continue with it.
Cancellation Policy
Your deposit (2 night deposit due within one week of booking) is 100% refundable until five weeks before arrival on property. For example, if your stay started December 13, 2024 that date would be November 6, 2024 (5 weeks before you arrive on property). After November 6, 2024 you would have paid the balance due i.e. the total you owe me would have been paid. Within five weeks of arrival on property if you cancelled I would try to rebook the dates you had reserved. If I was able to rebook 6 of the 9 days you had reserved then you would get back the entire amount you had paid me for those 6 days but you wouldn’t get back any money for the three days I was unable to rebook.
