Located in the Playa Kaan building, just 2.5 blocks from the beach and 1 block from the fashionable and lively 5th Avenue in Playa del Carmen, Casa Dorothea, a Penthouse Condominium, offers a haven that will make this your best vacation ever.
Casa Dorothea offers 2 bedrooms; one with a queen size bed and a balcony overlooking the courtyard swimming pool/waterfall and a 2nd bedroom featuring 2 twin beds. There are 2 luxurious baths complete with marble and Tikal stone. The floor plan is open and airy with another balcony as the focal point of the living room. The private rooftop terrace has everything for complete outdoor living and doubles your living space.
When you arrive in Playa our professional English speaking host will meet you and acquaint you with the condo and area. Throughout your stay, they are available to help or answer any questions that might arise during your stay. Their office is only a block away.
Casa Dorothea also features a US/Canadian phone from which you can make or receive an unlimited amount of calls to/from the US and Canada. So, its easy to keep in touch with the folks back home while in Mexico.
If you have a party of more than 4 people, let us know an we can arrange a rental for 4 additional people in the same complex ... just across the courtyard.
Our rate includes; all taxes, wireless internet, TV with English channels, drinking water, and a telephone in the condo where you have unlimited calls to/from the US and Canada. This is a very good rate for a penthouse condo with a private rooftop terrace so close to the beach and 5th AV.
We try to be very involved with our guests in helping them plan their stay to ensure you have a wonderful time while in Playa del Carmen. So, feel free to call us or email us before your stay with any questions regarding the condo, Playa del Carmen or the area. We will be more than happy to assist.
While you are in Playa, we have a local property management firm (they are fluent in English and Spanish) to make sure everything goes smoothly on a day-by-day basis. Their office is right down the street from the condo. They are available throughout your stay should anything go wrong.
Our property manager will also be happy to assist you with other arrangements for a worry-free vacation, such as airport transfers, house keeping, tour information and booking, car rental, plus many more services. All of these services can be booked prior to your arrival. They are here to help you relax during your vacation. Just let us know.

Welcome. . . Welcome to our condo, Casa Dorothea. We are Ron and Crystal, Americans who have been coming to Playa del Carmen since 2000. Our home is named after Ron's mother, Dorothy, and like her, we want this house to be full of warmth, laughter, love and good times. We are happy that we can share Casa Dorothea with you and your family and we know that you will take care of our home and treat it like your own. We want you to be comfortable while enjoying our tropical retreat so you can soak up the tranquility, languish by the pools, stroll through the gardens, and explore all that Playa del Carmen has to offer. In the year 2000, we started coming to Playa and staying at the all-inclusive resorts, then we rented and then finally took the plunge and bought property ... and never regretted it. Once you leave the confines of a resort and stay in a condo, you are free to truly enjoy a wonderfully unique experience.
