SUITE CEREZA

This studio is fully furnished, one large room with king size bed and a twin bed, sofa, love seat and a swivel chair. TV with WiFi and internet. Spacious dressing room with closet. Bathroom with shower. A/C with ceiling fans. Kitchen  with electric range, refrigerator, microwave oven, coffee maker, pots and pans, dishes for four persons.
Table with 2 chairs.  There is another table with 2 chairs in the outside patio, also 2 lounge chairs. This studio is on the second floor.

Located downtown. Walk to the grocery store just 2 blocks away. Also from there you can take the bus to the Hotel Strip and enjoy the beautiful crystal clear waters of the Mexican Caribbean.  You have nearby restaurants, flea market, shops, City Hall with activities on the weekends, Plaza Las Americas is a nice large mall, just take the bus there and back. And less than a mile is Puerto Cancun. Or you may rent a vehicle and park in the driveway.

Rates include round trip transfers from the airport to the property. On two and more weeks rental, maid service and change of bed sheets is included. Also included is your maintenance and water, the only extra expense is your electricity.

Playa Delfines — The Best Public Beach
At kilometer 18 of the Hotel Zone, Playa Delfines is the widest, most accessible public beach in Cancun with the iconic aquamarine water and zero resort crowding. You don’t need a hotel to access it — there’s a large free parking lot and the beach is fully public by Mexican law.
Why it’s better than resort beaches: No plastic chairs, vendors stay at the back, the water is clear, and you can actually see the color gradient that makes Cancun famous. It’s also where the famous Cancun sign for photos is located.

San Miguelito Maya Archaeological Zone
The most underrated thing to do in Cancun — and it’s right inside the Hotel Zone, at km 16.5 of Boulevard Kukulcan.
San Miguelito is a genuine Maya archaeological site with 16 restored structures, including the Pyramid of El Rey (different from El Rey ruins down the road), a grand platform, and a series of residential complexes. What makes it special is the Museo Maya de Cancun attached to the site — the most comprehensive Maya museum in the Cancun region, with 350+ pieces of jade, ceramics, obsidian tools, and burial remains from sites across Quintana Roo and the Yucatán. $4.00 USD entry fee

MUSA — The Underwater Sculpture Museum
Museo Subacuático de Arte (MUSA) is unlike anything else in Mexico: 500 life-size concrete sculptures by British sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor, installed in the Caribbean Sea at 4–8 meter depths, now covered in coral and reef fish after a decade submerged.
The sculptures were designed with textured surfaces that promote coral growth — the entire installation functions as an artificial reef that now hosts hundreds of marine species. Some sculptures are portraits of Cancun residents; others are surreal installations (a Volkswagen Beetle submerged in the sand, a man on a sofa watching TV).

Isla Mujeres
Ferry over to Isla Mujeres for a day trip
For a change of pace in paradise, spend a day on the beaches of Isla Mujeres, just a quick high-speed ferry ride from Cancún. Ultramar Ferries depart from Puerto Juárez terminal or the Hotel Zone terminals and take only 20 minutes each way.
Once there, explore the colorful town filled with artisan shopping, including the vendor stalls at La Pulga Flea Market. The easiest way to get around the island is by golf cart. In about two hours, you can make it to Punta Sur and back, with plenty of opportunities to stop and relax at one of the many beach clubs.
Tip: For a more leisurely experience, book a catamaran tour, which includes snorkeling, a buffet lunch, and beach time on the island.

Xcaret
Swim the underground cenotes at Xcaret
This isn't your average outdoor theme park—it's built around one of the Yucatan's largest cenotes and packed with adventures both above and below ground. In addition to crystal-clear cenotes, you can tour underground caves, snorkel with colorful fish, ride mountain bikes, or zipline through the jungle. Don’t miss the fantastic show at 7:00pm. Highly recommended.

There's definitely no shortage of land or water activities, so grab an all-inclusive wristband and a map to help you navigate the park. There are also premium add-ons you can pay for, like swimming with dolphins or stingrays. Getting around is easy thanks to shuttle buses that transport you throughout the park and to or from Cancún.

Chichen Itza
Here you will discover the secrets kept in the buildings of this ancient city of the Mayan civilization, one of the most advanced in the pre-Hispanic world. You will admire and contemplate several buildings such as the Market of the Thousand Columns, the Temple of the Warriors with the statue of Chacmool, the Ball Game, the Temple of the Jaguar and the wonderful Temple of Kukulcán, one of the most emblematic monuments of the Mayan civilization.

Tulum
The perfect choice for travelers with limited time. Explore the Tulum Archaeological Site, snorkel in the Caribbean Sea, and swim in cenotes. Convenient and cost-effective.

Cancun Hideaways began in 1985, when I purchased my first 3-bedroom, 1-bath property. Over time, it grew into eight properties, and I have always rented them by the week.

Recently, while sharing the story of how I got started with a friend, she immediately said, “You were Airbnb before Airbnb!” I had never thought of it that way, but she was right.

Back then, I operated from a storefront, though I rarely met my guests in person. They came from all across the United States, and even from a few places around the world. Eventually, I transitioned into a home-based business.

At some point, someone referred to me in an email as “Cancun Maggie,” and the name stuck.

Travel agents would often call and ask whether I rented condos and homes, not just hotel rooms. They would send those clients my way and say, “Don’t worry about my commission. I only handle hotels, so you can keep the clients.”

Before online chats and social media became common, I did a lot of networking. Through those connections, travel reporters were often referred to me, and several articles were written about my work and the services I continue to offer.

Today, my business is much smaller and more personal. I now have two furnished apartments that rent yearly, along with the Cereza Suite, which is part of my home on the second floor.

Since I am not in Cancun year-round, I spend as much time as I can with my son and grandson. When I am away, my brother, Tony, will greet you upon arrival and assist you in any way he can.

I am sure that after your first stay, you will want to return for more than just a week.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I look forward to building a long and lasting relationship with you.
