Breakfast is provided at the guest’s choice of either the White Rhino Coffee House which is located in a beautiful old Victorian house a short walk down Main Street at 414 W. Main Street (whiterhinocoffee.com) or Fresh Market Coffee which is located in the old MKT train station at 501 S. Rogers Street south of the courthouse downtown (www.getfresh.coffee) or at El Mexicano Grill and Cantina which is a block east of the courthouse at 114 E.Franklin Street (www.elmexicanogrillcantina.com).
Parking is provided on the Gibson Street side of the Inn with one parking space per room. If you have more than one vehicle, you can park on Gibson Street or in the alley behind the Inn.

This second floor bedroom features a king size bed as well as a double bed and a large bathroom with a footed tub and shower.

About The English Merchant's Inn
Mary and Howard Baskin are fortunate to be the custodians of this beautiful historic mansion located at the doorstep of Dallas. The home was built circa 1915 by the English cotton merchant, James Wright Harrison, for his new bride at a time when Waxahachie was at the center of one of the leading cotton producing areas in the world. Your host, Mary Baskin, has many years of travel experience with a wealth of knowledge and an educated eye for interior design. Mary leads small groups on antiquing and cultural adventures in countries such as France, Ireland, England, Morocco, Turkey, Egypt, China, Kenya and South Africa. In addition she has worked for and produced interior design articles for such publications as Traditional Home, Country Home, and Better Homes and Gardens. She has recently established her own international travel and lifestyle magazine called FOUND.
