The Gold Nugget Lodge is a unique blend of seclusion and convenience that makes it a true gem. Surrounded by the Black Hills Forest, the Gold Nugget has no visible neighbors while being less than 6.5 miles to Deadwood and 8.5 miles to Terry Peak skiing. This cabin features a large deck and floor-to-ceiling windows facing east to watch the sunrise over miles of the Black Hills. Enjoy the nights next to the outdoor fire table, under a blanket of stars unobscured by city lights. There is even space and hookups for an RV for those of the group who want to “rough it.”
Inside the cabin, you will find natural finishings, large, exposed beams, and a cozy fireplace. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths that sleep a total of 12. Downstairs there are 2 queen bedrooms. The master suite has an en suite bathroom attached while the other bedroom is adjacent to the second bathroom. Upstairs in the loft, you will find 2 sets of bunk beds with queen-sized beds. Additionally, the loft has a foosball table, pub table and chairs, and toys for the kids. The kitchen comes stocked with all things needed for cooking at home including a brand-new pro

Smoking is allowed outside in designated area only (on gravel in front of the garage). Please be courteous of the cigarette butts and utilize the cigarette receptacle in front of the garage for disposal.
Absolutely no smoking in the house nor on the wood porch and deck. If signs of smoking are detected in the house, a $250 fee will be charged along with any associated cleaning fee.
Under no circumstances is parking of any motorized vehicles such as ATVs, UTVs, SXS, Motorcycles, etc. allowed on the covered porch. Each vehicle that is doing so will be assessed $200 per violation and may result in contract termination and eviction.
Underage drinking and drugs/illegal substance use is prohibited, local authorities will be contacted.
There is a propane fire table provided for guest use, located on the porch. Any other fire on the property is prohibited; including use of the outdoor firepit (This is private property of the owners). Violation will result in the immediate removal of guests.
We do not allow pets at this property. A $500 fine will be assessed if this rule is broken along with possible eviction.
The maximum capacity for an overnight stay is 12 guests. Daytime capacity above 12 needs prior approval from host. Noncompliance will result in a $500 fee and may result in eviction.
The garage is private, personal property. Unathorized entrance will result in a $500 fine, a phone call to the local authorities, and immediate eviction.
We strive to keep our cabin family friendly and safe and are not responsible for the negligence of a guest. Please make good, safe decisions that will not harm yourself, anyone else, or the home. Guests will be held financially responsible for any damages to the house or property. (Outside of normal wear and tear)

We’re delighted you’ve found us and are eager to welcome you to our elite selection of vacation homes! We truly feel honored for the opportunity to host you and blessed to be able to connect with all sorts of wonderful people from around the world!
We are the McCreery-Storms family. We both grew up in the same town in Nebraska, where we became engaged and uprooted to the Black Hills of South Dakota in August of 2015. We were married at Sylvan Lake and began the adventure of a lifetime. In January of 2016 , we found out we were pregnant with identical twin boys, Oakley and Finnley. After 5 months gestation, our little angels passed away due to a very rare case of “TTTS.” We conceived again later that year in October and gave birth to a handsome, healthy baby boy, Lochley, in July of 2017. After Lochley was born, we were blessed with two beautiful baby girls, Marlowe in April of 2019, and Remereigh in September of 2020.
Living in South Dakota, we decided being business owners would ultimately be the best fit for our growing family. We quickly realized there was a great need for this rapidly growing vacation rental industry. Being family owned and operated, we have the luxury of providing personable, quality care -which is of utmost importance to us. Our focus is to provide our guests with the best experience possible and are very involved in every aspect of the process. From the initial booking to our final farewell, you’ll be well taken care of, guaranteed. Our lives have been extremely blessed from our kids, family, and marriage to our now thriving business.
