Sleeping six guests comfortably, this quaint home provides a unique Black Hills getaway. As you walk through the front door you are greeted by the large dining room area. Complete with a gathering table of four chairs and a bench your guests can share in conversation and meals throughout your stay. The dining room flows into a fully stocked kitchen with all the appliances and comforts of home. Continuing through the main floor you’re met with the living room area that displays a sectional style sofa and lounge space to unwind. The master bedroom is located just behind the living room space and connects jack and jill style to the main floor full bathroom with matching dual vanity sinks. There is a stackable washer and dryer in the home as well for guest use. Upstairs you’ll find a queen bedroom and across the hall a double twin bedroom. Connecting the two sleeping areas is a nook for reading, playing games, or extra storage for your belongings. The Overlook Nook has plenty of deck space for grilling and spending time outdoors with the whole crew. Minutes away from historic downtown Lead you’ll find all sorts of activities and opportunities awaiting you. Attractions include the Sanford Lab Homestake Visitor Center, a museum of exhibits, observation deck, and home of the Open Cut. As well as The Black Hills Mining Musuem where you can try your hand at sleuthing for gold. Just down the road from the Overlook Nook is a local coffee shop with signature drinks, fresh baked goods, and quick eats. The Lead City Park is also within walking distance for a game of sand volleyball, playground equipment, and a splash pad perfect for an evening of unwinding and enjoying the hills firsthand. This newly renovated and updated home is just a quick scenic drive away from Deadwood and offers the perfect location for all the northern hills have to offer. We’re delighted you’ve found us and are eager to welcome you to our elite selection of vacation homes! We truly feel honored for the opportunity to host you and blessed to be able to connect with all sorts of wonderful people from around the world!
We are the McCreery-Storms family. We both grew up in the same town in Nebraska, where we became engaged and uprooted to the Black Hills of South Dakota in August of 2015. We were married at Sylvan Lake and began the adventure of a lifetime. In January of 2016 , we found out we were pregnant with identical twin boys, Oakley and Finnley. After 5 months gestation, our little angels passed away due to a very rare case of “TTTS.” We conceived again later that year in October and gave birth to a handsome, healthy baby boy, Lochley, in July of 2017. After Lochley was born, we were blessed with two beautiful baby girls, Marlowe in April of 2019, and Remereigh in September of 2020.
Living in South Dakota, we decided being business owners would ultimately be the best fit for our growing family. We quickly realized there was a great need for this rapidly growing vacation rental industry. Being family owned and operated, we have the luxury of providing personable, quality care -which is of utmost importance to us. Our focus is to provide our guests with the best experience possible and are very involved in every aspect of the process. From the initial booking to our final farewell, you’ll be well taken care of, guaranteed. Our lives have been extremely blessed from our kids, family, and marriage to our now thriving business.
