Retreat to your next vacation at Make Time Lodge, a newly built home in the back woods of the Black Hills. Seated in a paved community complete with direct trail access, its own clubhouse with entertainment room, firepits, and multiple pools- Make Time Lodge will fill all your accommodation needs. This unique cabin boasts of entertainment room while providing its’ guests their own personal spaces. Upon entering the cabin you’re welcomed with a large entryway to unload your bags and settle in. The main level features floor to ceiling windows allowing lots of natural light and truly capturing the galvanizing landscape that is sure to please any explorer’s heart. Here the main living space, dining, fully stocked kitchen, and laundry room can be found. There is also a main level bedroom and full bathroom for guest convenience. Access to the main deck offers a truly one-of-a-kind grilling setup that is hard to beat. This coupled with your own personal firepit, outdoor dining, and stunning views will make for unforgettable memories for years to come. With the open loft above this floorplan draws the attention from every room to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The upstairs accommodations are split by a stand-alone suite featuring a full bathroom and a seating area upon entering the king bedroom. On the other side of the loft, you are met with a game room enticing guests in a friendly game of foosball, seating to exchange conversation, and a walk out deck to enjoy the fresh mountain air. Two more king suites are attached to this section of the loft, one of which has a stand-alone tub and access to the upstairs deck from inside the bedroom. The last sleeping quarters can be found downstairs split into two bedrooms. One queen room and a bunk room hosting four full-sized beds. These accommodations share another full bathroom as well as another living room with a wet bar and full-size refrigerator attached. All bedrooms are equipped with their own lighting systems so guests can adjust the levels to their own preference, ceiling fans, and Tv’s. The entertainment space continues as you head out to the back patio where you’re greeted with a brick outdoor fireplace and 7-person hot tub! You can also find additional hangout room in the heated garage! Our family friendly home has you in mind with board games, books, and kid’s toys to enjoy. There is also a highchair, crib, and baby gates provided for guest use! Not only is Make Time Lodge fully loaded with all the latest amenities and over 3300 square feet of room, but it’s nestled in the prime location for all your outdoor activities and adventures. Terry Peak Ski Resort is only 5.5 miles away, Historic Lead is 4 miles, and famous Deadwood is 7.2 miles from the cabin. Spearfish canyon, Mt. Rushmore, Sylvan Lake, and Devil’s Tower are all within an afternoon’s trip as well. Centrally located in the Northern Hill’s guests can hop onto the Mickelson Trail for endless exploration! We’re delighted you’ve found us and are eager to welcome you to our elite selection of vacation homes! We truly feel honored for the opportunity to host you and blessed to be able to connect with all sorts of wonderful people from around the world!
We are the McCreery-Storms family. We both grew up in the same town in Nebraska, where we became engaged and uprooted to the Black Hills of South Dakota in August of 2015. We were married at Sylvan Lake and began the adventure of a lifetime. In January of 2016 , we found out we were pregnant with identical twin boys, Oakley and Finnley. After 5 months gestation, our little angels passed away due to a very rare case of “TTTS.” We conceived again later that year in October and gave birth to a handsome, healthy baby boy, Lochley, in July of 2017. After Lochley was born, we were blessed with two beautiful baby girls, Marlowe in April of 2019, and Remereigh in September of 2020.
Living in South Dakota, we decided being business owners would ultimately be the best fit for our growing family. We quickly realized there was a great need for this rapidly growing vacation rental industry. Being family owned and operated, we have the luxury of providing personable, quality care -which is of utmost importance to us. Our focus is to provide our guests with the best experience possible and are very involved in every aspect of the process. From the initial booking to our final farewell, you’ll be well taken care of, guaranteed. Our lives have been extremely blessed from our kids, family, and marriage to our now thriving business.
