We've been coming to the mountains of North Carolina for years and would travel to Highlands regularly. Every time we passed Toxaway Falls, I would say 'I want a place right on the falls!'. As soon as I saw one for sale, we didn't have to think twice about buying it. We spent a couple of months completely renovating it and now we have a beautiful mountain home with a million-dollar view.

 

Why they chose this property

Our place is as close as you can get to Toxaway Falls. We're on the top floor and have a gorgeous waterfall and mountain view. The falls serenade you to sleep at night. Even though you're on vacation, you must get up early enough at least once to watch the sunrise over the mountains and falls. It's quite a show! The summers are mild during the day and cool at night. The fall is bursting with colors of bright yellow, red and orange. The winters are picturesque. The spring boasts flowering dogwoods and spectacular flowers. You can white-water raft in the summer and fall or ski in the winter. Or you can just do nothing but sit on the deck and watch the beauty of nature go by.
