Disney is one of the best places in the US to celebrate the nation's birth in true style with your entire family!
Disney invites you to a patriotic celebration this Independence Day. You can step out in red, white, and blue, and enjoy character interactions, live entertainment, and traditional American cuisine. In addition to fun activities at Disney, the place is filled with family-friendly attractions that educate you about our nation and its history.
You can watch in awe as the night sky over Cinderella Castle lights up with a symphony of vibrant colors and bursts of light, perfectly choreographed to an inspiring patriotic soundtrack that celebrates America. It's a breathtaking spectacle that will leave you in awe.
4th of July, being the nation's birthday, has always been iconic for Americans. In Siesta Key, the 4th of July celebration and fireworks are tightly linked since the original Independence Day. Although the whole of America brightens up with flashy fireworks on the 4th of July every year, but few places in Siesta Key prove to be the best pockets for photographers and general spectators to enjoy the panoramic view of colorful flashes amidst the dark sky.
You can celebrate the 4th of July event with fun and fireworks. The show is located off the shores of Siesta Beach, just north of the volleyball courts, but there are plenty of other great vantage points like Crescent Beach, the Public Beach, or you can even board a vessel and head out into the waters of the Gulf of Mexico or the Intracoastal Waterway. The free, family-friendly show takes place on July 4th at dusk. Pets and personal fireworks should be left at home.
If you are in town with your family on the Fourth of July itself, make sure to drop by Panama City Marina for live music, free food, and a ton of fun. The festivities begin at 2 pm, and kids will also get to spend some time building a special project, hosted by Home Depot. The night ends with a stunning fireworks display at 9 pm that is sure to get you into the patriotic mood. The fireworks will be simulcast on Magic Broadcast stations.
If you don’t mind driving a little ways away from Panama City Beach, the festivities on Mexico Beach are extra fun for runners. As part of its Independence Day celebration, Mexico Beach hosts the Sandy Shoes 5k. The course is appropriate for any level of experience, and runners get a chipped bib to see their time, as well as a free t-shirt for participating. The run happens at 7 am, so it would be easy to get back to Panama City in time for the fireworks here, or you could catch the show at Mexico Beach, which starts at 8:30.
