My wife Lori and I have searched for the perfect place to own in the sun and near the water. We have traveled to Panama, Belize and Ecuador and finally chose this spot on the Mayan Riviera. What attracted us is the very friendly people, inexpensive living, amazing weather and safe neighborhood. The perfect place to escape the Canadian winter.
Why they chose this property
Las Olas means 'The Waves' in Spanish and we named our Condo #207 "Buena Vida" meaning 'The Good Life'! This condominium building is appropriately named, since it is literally steps from the turquoise Caribbean Sea and glorious white sand beaches for which Playa del Carmen is justly famous. Solidly built and with charming exterior design features like the winding tree pillars, these condos combine the best of Mexican design, like colorful tile, with clean, contemporary furnishings to create a harmonious, upscale experience. The condo is continuously being upgraded with Tzalam (Caribbean Walnut) furniture, king size beds, vanities and doors.

Location, Location, Location!!
Not only is our condo at Las Olas conveniently located close to the beach, it is also only a few steps from the famous Fifth Avenue. Known by locals as La Quinta Avenida, it's where you can enjoy strolling along the cobblestone pedestrian walkway and find great shopping and an array of fine restaurants and fun bars. It is also only a 10 minute walk to 2 huge Superstores (Mega and Wal-Mart) where you can purchase a huge variety of food and beverages. For all the day to day and evening activities, a car is not necessary.
Many potential guests ask about a pool. Both Mamitas Beach Club and Kool's Beach Club just a short way down the road have very nice swimming pools that can be used by families and children for the inexpensive cost of a lounge chair and umbrella. The Reef Hotel across the road has a fabulous roof-top pool, hot tubs, spa, gym and restaurant that welcomes guests of Las Olas for a small charge which goes toward food and drink. The view is great and the perfect location to get that tan in a more private location!
